BUSY WEEKEND FOR OLYMPIAN ATHLETIC CLUB

Olympian Athletic Club travelled to Tullamore, Co. Offaly for a busy weekend of athletics. On Saturday Olympian’s men team contested the prestigious National League Final.  After two hard fought rounds Olympian were placed eighth overall going into the final against well established and more experienced teams from throughout Ireland. With a relatively small team of nine athletes, each member produced a committed performance against some of the finest athletes in the country to pull out all the stops to gain season bests and personal best performances to place 1st, 3rd and 4th in almost all events covered to secure an incredible overall 6th team finish. This is a magnificent achievement by all of these young men considering they were placed 10th overall after the 1st round. This achievement is made all the better by the fact that all of these athletes came through the juvenile and junior ranks of Olympian A.C.
